Why Diversity and Inclusion?

I am Cherry Webb, a woman who hails from Pensacola, Florida. I wholeheartedly understand and advocate the importance of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) in a twenty-first-century globalized economy. In terms of championing the cause, I aim to reach beyond the breadth of my background and experiences accrued while employed by top Fortune 100 companies and the Federal Government. My vision encompasses so much more. I am steadfast in my pursuit to ensure that I am leaving no stone unturned.

After my research a short time ago, I enrolled at Cornell University and completed certification in Diversity & Inclusion.

For me, D&I is the quintessential dream—more befittingly, The American Dream. However, if individuals are not readily educated and trained, it becomes American Dream denied.

My objective is to highlight companies, organizations, and individuals who embrace the importance of D&I relative to their respective operations from the supplier to the end-user.

Everyone from the cashiers at Gucci, Prada, and Starbucks to the flight attendants on airlines must understand that such awareness affects everyone's bottom line.

Diversity & Inclusion and individual self-awareness go hand‐in‐hand. It takes about seven seconds to make that pivotal first impression.
